The Museum of Lead Mining is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Regional Scottish Thistle Award in the Innovation category. This is related to work undertaken with Prof. Chris McDermott of Edinburgh University using his innovative heat transfer system to keep the tearoom warm with heat from the cold water in the burn!
