Road Run With a Difference – In Aid of RSABI.
RSABI is a unique Scottish charity providing financial assistance and support to those that have been involved or are still involved with farming, crofting and growing, or their dependents.
The Chairman of RSABI Ayrshire Committee Gregor Caldwell accompanied by Andrew Leggat is at present in training to walk the Southern Upland Way which runs from Port Patrick on the west coast to Cockburnspath on the east coast and covers a distance of 212 miles.
The walk which is being sponsored by SP Energy Networks, will last for twelve days from Tuesday 29th May to Saturday 12th June. During the walk, Gregor and Andrew will arrive at Wanlockhead on Saturday afternoon 2nd June and have a BBQ etc.
There will be some vintage tractors on a run to Wanlockhead on that day, to be there when the walkers arrive between 1400-1500hrs at the Walk Inn Road.
