Would you like to help us as ‘Lead goes Gold!’?
To celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the Museum of Lead Mining , in 2024, we want to collect living stories and memories related to the local mining community. These can cover a range of topics including mining, the Miners’ Library, the village school, sports teams and games, mining tools, cooking and more! The stories will be added to a booklet containing tales from the past and thoughts for the next 50 years.
