Our seasonal team is here to make your visit enjoyable.

We have a Duty Manager present every day that we are open to the public. They are usually based at Reception. We also have Guides and Tea Room staff. The Guides will tell you all about the museum when you take a tour around the site. If they cannot answer your questions they will find the answer and get back to you. They will also instruct you about simple techniques of gold panning if you book a ‘Gold Panning Taster Session’. The Tea Room can get busy at times, so please be patient with our small team.

We have one permanent member of staff who leads the museum team and looks after the collection and its development.

The charity is run by the Board of Trustees. Currently there are 9 trustees including a recruit from the ‘Young Trustees Movement’. We are always willing to meet individuals who may be interested in joining the Board. Please contact info@leadminingmuseum.co.uk for further information.
