The Museum of Lead Mining

The Museum has a large and detailed archive with records on many of the families who were born, lived and worked in Wanlockhead, Leadhills and the surrounding villages since the 19th century. In some cases we can go even further back than that. If the name you are looking for is on one of the lists below, then we do have information on file and we will send you an attractive presentation for a small fee. We include either a printed information sheet or a family tree for your family or both if you prefer - the choice is yours!
