The Museum has a large and detailed archive with records on many of the families who were born, lived and worked in Wanlockhead, Leadhills and the surrounding villages since the 19th century. In some cases we can go even further back than that. Our Genealogy service is currently suspended due to lack of staff but if you contact us we may be able to help you but please bear with us as we may not be able to get back to you very quickly.
